Wood differences:

Hard hardwoods : oak, hornbeam, ash and beech

Semi-hard : chestnut, acacia or fruit trees

Soft ones : poplar, maple, birch, linden and alder

Softwoods : pine, spruce or fir

The harder the wood, the more heat it will release and it will burn slowly.

Since hardwoods are difficult to light, you will need some kindling to help get the fire going.

Hornbeam, oak, ash and beech woods are the best in energy performance, but most will produce more embers than flames.

The section of 90% of the logs is between 5 and 15 cm. The rest of the logs will be larger with sections ranging from 15 to 18 cm.

You will find smaller pieces of wood in your bundle that can be used to start the fire. This, which could not be eliminated by screening (sorting) is offered and not counted in the volume.

Depending on the factory of origin, this product may be delivered to you in a plastic bale or net.
